A New Path is an experiential course that was first implemented in the Florida prison system. Techniques and tools are taught to the inmates that prepares and strengthens their skills and mindsets so they will be able to be contributing citizens in society. This is done thru strengthening the mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and financial aspects in their lives, helping them to manage their new life upon release. Our goal is to assist them in becoming so strong and secure they will not return to the life that put them in prison.
A New Path is a 12 week program specifically created for inmates to assist them with the needed tools, knowledge and healthy family skills necessary for them to make right choices. We work with the incarcerated individual’s family on the outside to understand and be strengthened by the new choices that the inmate is making. Assistance such as counseling, referrals and resources are made available to the family while waiting on their love ones release. This program was instituted in 2008 and has saved the State of Florida taxpayers over 9 million dollars. Fostering Your Families Future is dedicated to implementing programs to continually lower the recidivism rate.
A New Path is the only documented program in America that has a zero recidivism rate for the first three years and at over ten years still has the lowest recidivism rate in the nation at 13.2% , our goal is to continually lower the recidivism rate throughout this great nation of ours.
When an individual who was incarcerated is released back into the same environment with the same thinking, they will most likely return to prison. When they change their way of thinking and have concrete goals and tools to reach their objectives, they will have a much better chance to be a productive citizen. A New Path provides that link.
